Default Air intake temp. sensor OR mass air sensor, 2002 ACCENT

i just bought a racing chip and it says i need to hook it up with the stock air intake temp. sensor or the stock mass air sensor. i know there by the throttle body and intake, but does anyone know anything else about it?

The diagram simply shows where the iat is and also which two prongs belong to it.

Im tellin' ya' it's crap... All it does is tell the computer the air comming into the motor is colder than uit really is... Then... You throw a code...

To give more information-

That "chip" is just a resistor designed to tell the computer that the air intake temperature is lower. This is supposed to fatten up the fuel mixture. The problem comes when you don't have the increased air to work with that fuel - you just run rich, kill power, and throw a code.

Sorry, but it is a junk mod. It is safer for your car to just keep the stock intake temperature sensor.

I took mine off when I put a cone filter on my maf. Do I really need a intake sensor? A check engine light hasnt come on yet.

I would have to say Yes becasue it is another parameter in determining your air/fuel mixture and "can" cause your car to run poorly.
