Default towing

hey guys i'm new here, ive had my accent for about a year now its a 2003 hatchback manual. my question is has anyone towed a utility trailer with one of these, maybe with a dirt bike in the trailer, and if so how did the 1.6 handle it as well as teh suspension. i was thinking about using the accent to tow my trailer as a back up plan in case i ever get stranded with my explorer and have to get the truck flatbeded home. this way i can use my accent under desperate times of transporting my trailer when my truck is incapable.

Default Re: towing

I wouldnt tow more than 500 pounds with it, the car doesnt have the brakes, power, or suspension for much more than that. A small harbor frieght 4x8 trailer and 1 dirt bike would be pushing it imo but would probably work in a pinch. Be careful not to burn up the clutch if its a manual, or add a tranny cooler for an autotragic.
