Wait...so the 106 HP stated for the 1.6L DOHC LC2.....is actually only 85-96 HP (based on 10-20% less you said) at the wheels?!?!?! THAT'S FREAKIN' HORRIBLE!!:dead: I knew my baby was slow...but not THAT slow!!!
P.S.--A slight change to the topic name might be a good idea...as theres another thread currently running with the exact same name, but the discussion is significantly different...just an idea.

My 2001 with the 1.6L, cat-back, and WAI dyno'd 92whp shortly after getting off of Summit Point Raceway in 90 degree heat with high humidity. Physics ownz joo, and you're car isnt any slower now than it was before you realized that the advertised HP and wheel HP are two different things, just you're perception of it has moved (into reality).

skierd then you should be close to that 96 hp at the wheels. I went to the track this past weekend and my car ran slower. Now I have to go back and find what made me slower. Before my best time was 12.03 and now my best time is 12.29.
These are some things I changed since I last went to the track.
1. Plug wires
2. Battery in trunk
3. Longer intake

longer intake i'm gonna guess...more distance for the air to travel, more hot intake tubing for the air to make contact with....but that's just my guess. Battery in the trunk would take a bit of weight off the front wheels and put it in the back, so you get less traction. mind, a battery doesn't weigh much...but it can make a difference i guess.
