So my new tires in the front are rubbing.... They are rubbing the mudflaps and the bolts that hold it all togother... I guess Im going to remove the mudflaps and hope it doesnt still rub on the bolts =-(
I have a 175/70 r14 (renewed used ones so they are even bigger than 70 - 75 ) and those also rub the mudflaps. Remove it (i do) and everything gonna be fine (bolts will hide depeer then).
Ravinaziankid - you got LC so be quiet (it is different than x3).
I'll get rid of the flaps today, weight reduction I suppose lol I was suprised they rub, I havent even lowered my car yet and Im going down 2 inches soon....
Wow that's strange, that's fairly close to the stock 14" wheel. What suspension are you running, you may want to get that checked out. It sounds like your caster may be out or not set properly if you have coilovers. Is it rubbing on both sides?
actually, the 14" size should be 185/60R14 ... the stocks are 175/65
I have 205/45R16s and they rub on the mudflaps ... if I had 205/40s, they wouldn't - go figure.

Yeah my stockers were 175/65/14. I have stock suspension all the way, I havent put my lowering springs in it. Seems the right side rubs way worse than the left. It doesnt rub everytime either. If I am on a bit of a hill or turn to fast it rubs really bad. I didnt remove the flaps today, no time. I'll get around to it though....
Stock suspension eh... hmmm. I've got a feeling you ended up bending something especially if one side is worse than the other. I don't think there's enough of a difference between those two tire sizes to cause a problem. If it's only happening some of the time then that may mean your suspension is shifting somewhat of course I'm not taking into consideration suspension travel when I say that. I'd get it looked at, I know mine is a little bit tight but I can still fit my between the mudflap and the tire (and I've got fat hands LOL).
