Default Stock Radio Toast

I was driving on the highway the other day listening to the radio and all of a sudden I hear a popping noise and the smell of burning plastic. My radio went for a cr*p. The radio looks like its working fine, it reads cd's, tunes to stations but I get no sound from the speakers. Well actually the only sound I get from my speakers is static sometimes, but this happens even when the key is out of the ignition. I checked the fuse, not burnt. I unplugged the battery to reset the radio, didn't work. So now I have my radio fuse out until Monday when Hyundai can take a look at it. Has this ever happened to anyone else? BTW, 2006 GSi w/ CD-MP3 stereo.

Something definitely went south when that happened... Warrantied, maybe? Take it in and if they wont do anything, throw a fit saying that this sort of thing is unacceptable... Its an '05? It shouldnt crap out for another 15 years...

I'm going to the dealership on Monday. I'm waiting a week without radio because there too busy. The car is actualy an 06, and it only has 6500Km on her.

Edit: When I try to change the year of my car in my profile I get this error message:

There was a problem with your car information
The details are listed below. Click your browser's 'Back' button to return to editing your car profile.

- The year of your car must be between 1986 and today.
