Default dash console buttons...

just wondering if the buttons on the dash console are all pre-wired awaiting the components that the dealer would add on for package options, or if those "dead buttons" also need wiring run to them. my accent GL has 5 buttons, only two are used, the emergency blinkers, and the rear defrost.

however, ive been considering a pair of fogs and i have a small amp and sub awaiting installation, and if possible, id really like to have the wiring run to the dead buttons, so i can turn on the fogs or the amp via the dash console.

also, if this is possible, if the dead buttons are pre-wired, which ones would be which, and how can i get my hands on buttons that actually depress.....i would assume through the dealer, but how much would they cost.

any info?

thanks,
chris

I think the dead buttons your are referring to are actually only plastic covers (you can pop them out).
When I looked behind them, I didn't see anything that would lead me to believe that there were already wires there available for use (which would make sense from a cost perspective Hyundai as a manufacturer)

I'm sure the dealerships as auxiliary switches you could purchase, but you would have to call them directly for the price.
