Default 2k1 gs problems... help?

ok, guys... if anyone can help, i'd appreciate it very much. three times this week, when i shifted into 2nd, the car just bogged down for about 2-3seconds, then rev'd back up to where it should have been in the first place. In all three instances, the CEL flashed then went out when i shifted into 3rd gear. the bogging i'm referring to feels very much like trying to drive in a gear that's too high for the speed and rpm's that you are at (but this is definitely NOT why it happened to me.)

i also forgot to mention that the bogging always occurs in second gear, only on upshifting, every time i start from a stand still. the 3 times i mentioned above were when the CEL actually came on along with it.

thanks!

I dunno, but i get it too sometimes (only on HARD launches). I think its the computer trying to catch up with what we're doing by throwing too much fuel and causing you to bog...

try changing the pcv valve...it is the little nozzle lookin' thing on top of the engine..usually about 7 or 8 bucks..could be the air/fuel intake ratios in the valve that are not working right...

Either that or start by checking the air filter. A dirty filter will cause that stuff to happen too.
