Default what those two little parts do(pics) ?

hi, all:
I am new here. I just working on a 2001 Accent 1.6L DOHC engine, and found two little part ne is a little iron ball, another is spring.


Those two little parts in the hole of the engine block. see pic as follow



who know what function those two little parts do? and what it's name? where to buy the little spring (because outside of the spring,there is plastic and it damaged. I need change a new one)?

Look to be some sort of pressure value I'd be contacting a dealer for parts.

Thanks,Komptek. If you got answer, please let me know. I need to buy the smaller spring+plastic part to replace the damaged one.

That's definately a pressure valve, but I looked through the factory service manual and it doesn't mention anything. I would try calling the dealer and describing what it is and where it was on the block and the parts guy should know what it's called and be able to get it for you.

Possibly a pressure regulator or check valve. Don't take it out.
