I recently realised that I need new tires for my 05 accent which came with Kumho's. I've done a little reading in local news papers for deals. What I really want to know is what kind of tire is best for my car.
starting off what size tire are you looking at? what are you going for, performance(stickier but wear faster), or long lasting(not as much traction but you'll get an extra 10-20,000 out of them). Does it rain a lot there? snow? all season tires? Pirelli p3000's are a good midrange tire cheapest for the longest lasting and has good traction.
Kumho's are real good for the price..I have them on my tib and they were great in all kinds of weather.
Other good ones are Falken Ziex 512's. Ive read a lot of good reviews on them from owners. Whenever someone comes to buy an inexpensive tire (I work at a tire place), if we dont have the kumhos in their tire size, I tell them to get these.
I dont really like Goodyears..out of American brands BF Goodrich is good and Michelin is the best.

Well I have 175/60/13 Kumhos on my Accent and they are at 30,000 miles. They are going bald and most of the mileage is highway. Is this normal with Kumhos?
