Last night I tried to start my car, but the car was drained and when I try using my jump starter, it still didnt help. Then I called the Hyundai road side and when they got there they tried with the battery pack and jumper cables, but still no luck. What can be the problem? It just wont turn over, when he had the jumper cables connected, the lights were all on and all, just that the car wouldnt turn. Anyone with any ideas will help.
Yeah...the cars been doing this for the past few months...but would always start after a jump start. I also had some loose belts, can the belt slipping cause this?
It sounds like its about to turn over, but doesn't. Which fuse was it? I'll check out the fuses to see if they're all good. But i'm having it towed to the dealer, would anyone know how much they charge if it is the starter?
Ok, upon further inspection it was the 30A Ignition fuse in the underhood relay box. It's about a half inch square topped fuse, not a relay. The bigger black "Start" relay could also be the problem depending on symptoms.
When you turn the key does it make any noise at all? If it does it's not either the fuse or relay.
I suggest you pull your starter and have an auto parts store check it for free.
It wasn't the starter...it was the battery, this is the third time I had to exchange it for a new battery under the 3 yr warranty. I'm thinking of getthing Optima, but don't know any retailers around my local area.
