Default Reverse Switch Location!!! HELP

Wher is the reverse light switch in my x3 accent. I have a book and It doesnt show me where this thing is at.

The reverse switch screws into the top of the transmission. Easiest to get at it if you remove the air filter box. I think you need a deep socket to get it off.

Unplug it, take out the old one, replace with a new one and reconnect it. Real simple fix.

thanks so much ive been trying to find that for a while now. im having another problem with my speedo cable. the wire is lose and i cant seem to get the connector out of the transmition bell housing the wire came out but the parttheat would hold in in there is stuck hard. does it unscrew? i read that it should just pull out.

If its stubborn try putting the car in gear car and then jacking it up. (Use jackstands pls) once you have the wheels off the ground have someone whiggle the drivers side wheel while you try to pull it up. Im fairly sure theres a gear on the end that might be snagged somehow.
