Ther is someone driving without his mass air on his excel but I am not sure how do a search and you can find out who it is!

If your car is dying when it rains you def have an electrical prob that moisture is affecting!

I doubt that it is your maf but you never can tell!
Is it just when it rains or are you running through puddles what is the cause?

You may want to look for loose connections and bare wire that are allowing moisture to cause the prob!
I would check these ideas first before I tried removing my MAF!!

You may want to check your distributor wires it sound to me that that will be your problem! and to see if moisture is entering the distributor cap!!!! This will cause fouling and bad skips!

Being that you have a 91, the first thing I would replace would be the wires and/or the ignition coil(s).
Moisture will affect the dielectric rating of the wires significantly if they are old.
Same with the plastic on the ignition coil (or the core may be compromised due to corrosion by moisture or salt)...

My ignition coil went at 65K... However, the car was only a year and half old at the time. 2 NY winters with salted roads killed the coil relatively quickly...
