Re: what should the first engine mods be on an Accent?
building a custom intake instead of buying one will cut your cost I would say less than $100 dollars and that is a high quote! custom exhaust from the resonator back will help to and cost between $160 to $200 just depends on who you know!
These two mods will help your accent alot and not break your bank!
Let me know if you need help with a custom intake install!

Re: what should the first engine mods be on an Accent?
I have a full layout on how to build a custom cai if you want more than 5hp for a mod then I suggest that you save your cash and just buy a $500.00 ZEX kit and be done with it!
$500.00 for 55HP is the best you are gona get on a budget!

ZEX Kit? Can you explain what one is please? Thanks!
Re: what should the first engine mods be on an Accent?
A ZEX kit is a nitrous kit. Nitrous is a high performance compressed fuel/oxygen mixture which injects into your car like fuel when you want it to. Once you inject nitrous into your engine, you gain a certain amount of horsepower depending on how much you inject. There is soooo much more to nitrous tuning but I'm not about to try and type it all in one reply. Simply go to the Forced Induction/ Nitrous Tuning portion of the forums and either look around or use the search function and you will find more than you ever wanted to know about nitrous.
