Default X3 Body Styling opinions

Im in need of some opinions of what i should do next with my ride. I got a 96 in that beautiful factory green color (you know the one) anyway, im buying a kit off a guy in the sale section its the black one i thinks its a sic division something... anyway... should i wait to put it on till i have done all the body work and had the car painted or do you guys think it would look ok with green and black while im working on it? also Im getting rims sooner or later but i can get rims sooner if I wait to paint. I figure i would definetly want new rims when i put the kit on. also im replacing the hood cuz its dinged up so any ideas on a scoop? im planning a factory spoiler with the little roof spoiler as well. eventually i hope to beta swap and boost but for now im gonna get the exterior and interior in order. so any ideas? anyone know where to get the m3 style side views?

It wouldn't look to bad since it would be a green on black. But if it was me I would wait to put it on, put it on the day before you get the paint job so it would all be painted at one time.

Yeah the body kit would look great with a nice set of rims to go with it. The wimpy stock wheels arnt that great looking. But also if your body kit sits kinda low to the ground you may wanna be careful. I put a body kit on my 91 beretta gt and the kit was maybe 2-3" from the ground, hit a bump and smashed the front of the body kit all to hell. Had to upgrade the suspension to a stiffer suspension. Have fun and good luck

well, ive got the kyb struts on the car and havent lowered it at all, plus the rims should add some ground clearance as well going up to a 15x7 or even 16 so i think i should be fine but thanks for the warning. Does anyone have any good ideas for a hood? or know where to get a nice looking scoop? I figured i would just get a cheap one off ebay but i dont want some little dinky scoop. I see people all over town with these add on scoops that just look way to small for the car. Maybe its just me...

I'd say: slap it on ... see how it looks (imagine the colours)
sleep on it for a while.
You might even come up with a two-tone scheme for it that'll look awesome, but like I say you need to see it ON the car.

As for rims on an X3, go no bigger than 16s with no larger than 205/40R16s

I have 16s on mine with 205/45R16s and they're just a bit too wide and I get fender rub. So I'm planning on getting 195/45R16s for next year.

Here's a pic of it now:
