Default Leaky car

I keep finding water where my spare sits.

I had the seal replaced when I bought the car because I had the same problem.

The only think I could think of is I switched the antenna to one of those shorter ones.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: When the weather gets better i'm gonna sit back there and have someone spray the car with a hose. Hopefully i'll find it.

i agree, check the tails, if you cant find it you can drill a small hole in the lowest part of the spare tire well, that will at least keep water from building up and rusting out your car. if you want to go the extra mile i have sprayed rubberized undercoating in a couple of trunks that have leaks. get a wire brush attachment for your drill and clean all the rust out of the trunk, then give it two or three coats of undercoating, one can should be enough, let it dry for a half hour at least between coats, also its gonna smell like **** in your car for about a week.

i also find that the good rubberized stuff deadens a great deal of sound, i know i guy who preferrs it to dynomat, its way lighter and way cheaper. good luck

Thats a good idea with the undercoating.

I would rather not have a rusty hatch.

i have a base model accent with no rear washer.

there is a dummy plug where the rear washer fluid head should be. i don't know if someone jacked it but now i just have a hole that leads to...somewhere?

i haven't noticed the same problem as you but maybe that could be it?

It could very well be that your rear wiper water lines are leaking...
My rear nozzel leaks occasionally when i go over a large speed bump or accellerate hard...
not the kind of volume that will flood the trunk but enough so that it leaves streaks down my rear windshield...

Cheers
