Default is alignment necessary?

I'm getting new front KYB or monroe strut's for the Accent after my worn out's one's are more bouncy than a toaster..makin my zenn's and nice dunlop FM901's worthless in handling.

i feel a worriness of having to get another alignment..i already had alignment done when i had my zenns installed 5 months ago..

when i put the new strut's in..it shouldn't affect the front alignment right?

oh and just to confirm..

1:remove strut tower bolts and bolts and studs from spindles.
2:take out strut and compress spring
3:unbolt the ball-bearing rotating strut mounts from the top of strut pistons and dust boot..refill with grease if needed.
4ut springs back on with compressor intact.
5:bolt down mount on new strut..
6:align spring end's to the recessed mount on the strut plate.
7:slowly release spring compressor
8:reverse steps 1..2..3..

See?
Skierd would have been proud,

i'm sure you will be fine without an alignment, but if you want to spend the money, go for it!

Anytime you mess with the suspension, it is recommended that you align the wheels. You may not even notice anything but your tires will.

BTW: Good choice on the FM901s. I work at a Goodyear and I see those every day.

The LC Accent has static front suspension geometry so that means you can pull the front suspension apart and reassemble with out the need for an alignment. My J1 Elantra is the same deal I align it once every other year just to makeup for general wear & tear I put in the suspension and my tires wear dead even. Kumho 712's and Falken RT-615s

thanks..i found them at the tire dumpster where i work..such good tire's and they were left for trash..they were 195/55/R15..no affect on the speedo..besides..i could use a little thicker sidewall for a bit of cushion and bent wheel dampening...also had to use a torque wrench to even out the nuts..too much on one nut can mean annoying vibration.

it has about almost 5 seconds of tire left..tread depth of almost 2 nickels..

i was really happy to run into these..
i bolted on my front wheels along with my new front bumper spoiler lip which i will post a pic of soon,

the FM901's stick like a crazy Mu####fu##er!!
even with the front rolling alot from the worn struts..almost no squeal or understeer even at a 60MPH downhill Loop exit.

I'm now waiting for someone to dump a pair of used Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3

i seen my co-worker who have these on their car's go insane about how good the tire's are..Utter oblivion heap's of grip..even in the wet..only racing competition slicks will best these tires..

these tires blow's away the utterly almost all of the competition..or so they say.
