Default DIY: The Easy way to remove the door chime... LC/LC2

I know this has been done before but it was the hard way which was climbing under the dash and breaking your back . So i did it the easy way... This took roughly 1 minute to do.

Step I:
Sit in you car and relax. Pump up some music if you have to .

This starts with the glove box to you left. Simply open it and pull. It should unclip and come off.

Step II:
After removing the little compartment, this is what you should see.

See that gray box? It's the annoying chime. Check it for yourself. Turn on your lights or something to turn on the chime and feel the box. If the sound gets distorted or if you feel vibrations it's that. Simply Unplug it and NO CHIME!

Hide the wire if you want...

Step III:
Now put the compartment back. Clip it back like you see in the picture and close it shut.

And there you're done. No crawling under the dash for me ...

I don't have a glove box there. So I had to lay on the floor and reach up behind the clutch, really wasn't THAT hard.

Not to mention my chime was in the gold looking metal box.

ok fine. It'll only work for canadian LC/LC2s... Apparently USA's LC/LC2s don't have these...

Thats alright we here in aus dont have them either...
I want one tho...
I love having storage compartments...

Could you get me the part number of that bit of trim???
I know it wont be the right one for my car (it being right hand drive and all) but it will give me somewhere to start...

Does anyone have a parts list for the LC accent??
Or know where to get one relativly cheaply??

Cheers
scythe
