Default Weight of rims

Cheaper rims = heavy rims = slows you down
more expensive rims = lighter rims = doesn't slow you down

Is that right?

What is the ideal weight range for a set of good rims?

Cheers

... Those are some EXPENSIVE wheels depending on the size. For a good 16" wheel, I'd expect 10-14 but... yeah...

Ideally, the lighter the wheel (Or any other unsprung comonent, i.e. outside the spring/shock assy like rotors, calipers, wheels) the better. Then again, 1-2 pounds per wheel can mean a $200-$300 difference in price, and on a Hyundai, it's not going to make as big a difference as some other mods.

i have 1995 Acura Integra GS-R "Fat 5" aluminum wheels on my car.

they are 4x100 and the hub size is the same..

they're light as heil..only about roughly 16 pounds per wheel,

and they make a big difference copmpared to the 15inch civic steelies i had on my car,

acceleration is more stronger, braking is better, handling is more crisp and the steering is lighter but still responsive.
and for once...i can see my Brakes..

i got them off a guy from craigslist for $180..a super steal..
almost all fo the wheels were straight..

You will also want to take the weight of the tire you are putting on in to the equation. I went with Falken ZE512, but after found out they are a heavy tire. S0 I'll be shopping for a new tire next spring . Typically higher rated tires will be lighter, so instead of a regular H rated tire I'll be looking at a V or Z rated.
