I've noticed this for the last few months that when I turn on my heater passed speed 2 there is a small whistle noise coming from the fan. When I first took the car into Hyundai back in October for the first time they told me they didn't hear anything. I knew that it was a load of shit and the noise is still there now. Can someone maybe explain what it could be, someone even said it could even be a leaf in there or something.
May be a bearing going bad on the fan. Take it in again and make them listen to it with you right there and in a fairly quiet area (NOT IN THE SERVICE BAYS). My mom's 95 Tbird was making a noise and she took it in 3 times and they 'didn't hear the noise', she found out they were listening to it in the service bays with impact tools and other shit going. DUH OF COURSE YOU CAN'T HEAR IT!
Have you tried running the fan at max speed for a few mins to see if the sound stops...
I had a clicking/tapping noise coming from the blower assembly in my LC not that long ago (its located behind the glove box)...
Ran the fan at full speed for about 10-15 mins and the noise stopped...
I figure it was just a leaf that some how made its way into the system (cause it sounded like something was hitting against the blowers blades)...
Try removing the blower assembly and seeing if there's anything in there that shouldn't be first...
Turn the bearings by hand to see if they feel still or like they have sand in them...
Bearings should have a smooth rotation, no little bumps or grinding is acceptable...
Try and source the bearings that you might need before you need them...
Cheers

Yeah I've only been to the one Hyundai dealership near my house and I don't really like them. They're the ones that forgot to take out my blockheater plug in and my car wouldn't start(missed a day of work). I looked around the car and couldn't find one, took it into another shop was ready to get a new blockheater thinking I didn't have one, well I did. So that day costed me 300 bucks, and now they're telling me that they can't hear it. I think that I am going to take it to another Hyundai dealership, the car is still under warrenty why not.
I only noticed the noise passed two speed all the way upto 4 or 5(the highest level).
