hmm well i'm still not going to spend $250 to have a mechanic do it, so i'll tell you how difficult it is to do it on a 1,5. i'd imagine it's mostly the same...

just finished doing the timing belt. all it took was an engine lift that i borrowed from a friend's dad. i needed it to lift the engine out a little so i could get to some of the harder to reach pulleys. it was easier than i expected to say the least.

...except i've noticed something that may be a concern. the car runs great but, when i start it up, it sounds and rattles like a big rig or something, but then runs normally. did i not tighten one of the engine mounts enough perhaps?
