Default window almost impossible to wind up in '00' excel??

hi,
the drivers side window im my 3 door excel is really hard to wind up(it keeps stripping window winders every couple of months) we pulled the trim off today and couldn't work out how to adjust it??? does anyone know how we can fix it???? it's the biggest pain in the preverbial

Hopefully this will help.

Once you have access to the glass try the following.

1 - loosen the glass mounting bolt, adjust the glass by moving it up or down.

2 - loosen the regulator mounting bolt, adjust the regulator and glass by moving the regulator up, down, right or left.

try lubricating the window rails on the door frames with wd-40 or some light grease

i had the same problem, window's would roll down easily but it was a chore to wind up

Look for a loose rivet or bolt. If the geometry gets out of whack at all it'll become very difficult to roll the window up and you may break other things. For mr personally 9 times out of 10 when it's hard to roll up a manual window it's been because there's something loose in the mechanism.

tracl lubing will work, if you take it all apart look for rust on the window tracks, if there is clean it up and lube and it should be good as new
