Default Sold my escorts-Beta swap help

Ok.......im seriously thinking about putting in a beta... now what exactly parts wise do i need for a beta swap- I have the 1.5L sohc g4eb engine not the 1.6... what is compatible and wut would need to be replaced. After the beta i plan on turbocharging it also.
this may take a while but i need to start somewere...and being early next year i have to rebuild a motor why not rebuild a beta and turbocharge it at the same time.

you need a motor, 1.6 ecu, scoupe turbo clutch and pressure plate.

AND A SHITLOAD OF PATIENCE FOR WIRING.

I have a 1.6 ecu and a exedy clutch/pp with 5 miles on them for sale if you are interested.

well you have a 2002 so you want a BEta II from a 01-03 elantra or an 03 tib. MAP based without CVVT. you can use the 2.0 ecu but you have to swap the entire harness out for that. The 2.4 swap is possible if you have enough time money and patience. but realistically it's not feasible to do it.

well wouldnt i have to swap the harness anyways cuz im going from a alpha 1 to a alpha 2.... and how exactly could a 1.6L ecu work with a 2.0? MAP sensor and all that or is the resisters different and bring out the same voltage under load?

its simple. get the motor that can run off of the 1.5 harness and ecu its going to be a 1.8 beta. use the 1.5 tranny and the 1.6 clutch with the beta 1.8 flywheel. wiring concerns... just extend a few wires which will be obvious when you do the swap and then either fab up a new passenger side motor mount or use the 1.5 motor mount and modify the cradle for it. your 1.5 is a maf and the early beta motors were too.... if anything seems unclear, PM me. its simple and cost effective.

i thought people said that it had a immoblizer or that its simpler to put in a beta1 2.0 or was the beta 1 a 1.8 see i dont know much about the beta's... but to be honest..... im actually kinda of leaning towards turbocharing my alpha is there anyone who makes 8:1 or 9:1 compression pistons for the alpha... and is the only difference between a alpha 1 and 2 just the cyl head? or is the alpha 1 a totally diff block?

You have a 1.5l apha correct?

The 1.5 and 1.6 have the same wiring harness.

the 1.6 is DOHC and MAP based as is the Beta II (from and 03 tib or 01-03 elantra)

The 1.6 ecu can run the beta II with the Alphas signals. you can use a fuel tuner to make it do beta II numbers if you'd like.

turboing the 1.5? you can use scoupe pistons or get some custom made by wiseco or CP.
