Default 2004 Accent. engine turns but won't start. (fuel problem?) P2407 code

Hi, I've got a 2004 Hyundai accent with only 99k miles on it. Perfect mileage for things to start breaking, eh?
Well the engine will turn but not start. I pulled a code and all I got was P2407 (Evap leak detection or something) sure enough the hose to the evap charcoal canister did pop off, so i re-attached it.
Still won't start.

I Took out the back seat to check if the fuel was pumping from the tank and it does fine. When i crank the engine fuel pumps out fast.
My first guess was that it was the fuel pump or the fuel filter but they seem to be fine.
Now my guess is that it's something up by the engine that's not allowing fuel to get into the engine.

Any Ideas?

As of this morning I'm in the same boat, 2003, 96k, no codes, I'll be checking the fuel pump after work, only additional info I have is that it started once but died within seconds, and wouldn't start again.

That actually did happen to me as well. I really hope its not a bad fuel pump though.

Updates:

Fuel pump primes (still need to check the filter and pressure)
Spark Plug Wires good
Spark Plugs (replaced, quite fouled)

All plugs are getting a spark.

This morning the car started for a few seconds and quit, afterwards it would just turn over and not start.

This evening the car would start for a few seconds before the rough idle would kill it.

After changing the plugs the car starts for about 15 seconds before getting rough and dying.

I found out what my problem was as of this morning.

That OBD code was bullshit. totally throwing my attention off of what was really broken. wasting my time.

But my timing belt was completely stripped of the teeth in a few sections so the starter wasnt turning the timing belt.

Tryin to install the new one right now i just cant get the damn crankshaft pulley bolt off.

anyone know if its normal thread or reverse threaded?
