Mine had a slot for the filters but it didn't have a filter installed from the factory, probably because its a base model...there's a good chance yours didn't as well. Best to check behind the glovebox and see if there's a slot there to fit one. The filters are cheap, $12 from rockauto.

i have exactly the same structure in my hyundai accent. Please someone reconfirm whether it has a cabin air filter. If yes, how do i replace it because I have not done so in so many years.

Awaiting response

Not sure about you Ahumphrey but I'm from Australia, have the exact same model (2004 accent) and you've probably searched and found US results. Your air filter is under what you're looking at. It's not necessary to remove the glove box, remove 5 screws under and to the right of what you've taken a photo of and you'll find it upside down ( being un upside down kind of country )

Do I need to install one? I have noticed that the air flow has weakend from the airventS?

Is it neceassry to install a cabin air filter? what is the part number?
