Default 04 accent starter ????

on friday about 3 inches of snow and i went to start the accent and she wouldnt turn...no cranking...lights are NOT dim... got battery tested the next day...

i do pizza delivery so i turned the starter over about 200 times in 2 days... and 3 times there was a fail... it felt like i was not pushing the clutch down... i put the key down for 20 seconds and turned it over again... no problem...no hesitations...

starter overheating?

battery has no corotion and good cranking amps...

HELP! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE

If you are hearing a click(?), the lights arent dimming, and the battery tests OK, then let someone else try hitting the key while you hit the starter. My accent sat for a year and after using it for a month started having starter issues. Had to keep tapping the starter to get it to turn. After a while it just stopped seizing. Havent had an issue since. Also, you have a clutch, make sure the clutch switch is operational. You can just unplug it and try to start your car without the clutch engaged. If it works, then the switch is bad, but that would be unlikely.

tl;dr : tap starter while trying to turn over the engine. check clutch engage switch, disconnect if possible.

Upgrades: Free Flow Filter (WAI), Front Strut Bar, Clear Headlight Mod ||| Replaced:Clutch (kit), Front Left CV Axle, Front Left Wheel Studs, Front and Rear Motor Mounts, Muffler (Twice), Trunk Release Latch and Trim, Interior Driver Door Latch, Crank Sensor
Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Catalytic Converter
Power Steering Belt, Battery (Twice), 12v Accessory plug, Front Right Wheel Bearing. 160,000 Mi. Will need another clutch put in soon (Release Bearing Issues).

Sounds like a flat/dead spot on the starter to me.

If you get no click you need to see if the solenoid coil ( smaller wire ) is getting voltage when you turn the key. If not, then it is not a starter problem. If it does get voltage it is a solenoid problem. Since this is an intermittent problem you might have to rig up some sort of indicator light wired to the terminal.

Bigger spots of rust treated with Rustolium Rust reformer.
Pulled the 2 rubber plugs from the bottom of the trunk to let the water out. I think that I might just have a fender rust problem.
