Default How Does it Do it?

I drive an Accent with the new 1.6 DOHC 16v engine...(stock) it only puts out 105hp... but itll take 60 in 8 secs and take out civics, eclipses, all of lexus's 300 seires, freakin v-6 cameros/stangs and some other stuff that far over powers my little pocket rocket. Is it in the gearing? Is it posesed? or does Hyundai just kick some serious a$$?

WytchDctr

P.s. this is my first hyundai and for the last year i have never regreated getting it.

I don't think any accent can go 0-60 in 8 seconds stock, now with a few mods one could definately do it

WytchDctr-

A lot of it has to do with driving ability, and power to weight ratios.

The accent is significantly lighter than most cars, which gives it a fairly decent power to weight ratio. 0-30, the accent isn't half bad. The problem arises at speed. As you speed by a factor of 2 (30 to 60 MPH), the force of the wind pressing against your car goes up by a factor of 4. The Accent doesn't have the HP of say a 911 Twin Turbo...so it will never do 150 MPH in stock form...but in stock form, it has a respectable 0-30 time...which a good driver can turn into a win in the 0-60 race!

I do reccomend that you keep all of your racing confined to Drag Strips or race tracks. You might be supprised how well an accent can do at the strip with a good launch vs a more powerful car with an average/poor launch.

That might be it.. i have noticed its ability to jump to 30 like a wild hyena with its arse on fire. I raced a Trans Am the other day and we were nose to nose untill i hit second gear, roughly 30, then i might as well been rideing on a moped.. he distroyed me after that.
