Okay guys (girls too). I have found, by far the best bulb for sale anywhere. That is, if you don't want to spend the $$$ on a true H.I.D. I have used Plasmaglow, I have used APC Plasma White, and now I am sold on the best and brightest anywhere. They are called XD5. They are rated at 5,100 K
I bought them on eBay from Global Premier. I have enclosed links should you want them for yourself. I won them on 1/15 and got them today. Very reliable seller and super fast shipment too!!
Excellent site, thanks. I am glad someone has now "shed the light" HAHA on what those ratings really mean. I was using the chart as a comparison for others to see. Besides, these bulbs are 100W, not 55W putting out equal to 85W. In my opinion, the APPEARANCE of these bulbs are superior to others I have owned. Besides, I didn't plunk down $70 or $80 for those piaa's and wouldn't. I just feel that these bulbs look as good as a $500 H.I.D. system for $470 less. Lets just say that they light up the road great and give off a look I was trying to achieve.

The thing I wonder is how long they will last. I was blowing bulbs ever month or so with some $25 a pair brands where PIAAs last people years. Yeah the inital cost of PIAAs may be 3Xs as much but on average, they last people 3-10Xs as long.
Not saying those are bad bulbs because I don't know, but with PIAAs you always get your moneys worth.

I was changing Eurolights more often then I wash my car! I ran through a set in my headlights in under a week and the fog lights in 3 uses. I became pretty disenchanted with them after spending more on headlights in a week then I do on gas. :disappointed: :|

From experince with any type of blub -> The least amount of outside contact the better...perhaps your cleaning isn't helping and infact is hurting the bulbs...plus why have them in and out all the time?
A main reason for poor vision is also alignment. You can buy the best HID lookalike bulbs and have poor vision, and you can buy the best halogens and have poor vision. It's all dependent on alignment. Many a car with blue lights go down the road and they look 'cross-eyed'.
Lastly, with experience in my Nissan, Going Super Halogens, to the HID type, to the Halogens again, i've concluded that the HID lookalikes enable you to see much more clearly and precise, but the Halogens enable you to see much farther in the distance. I suppose it's all on your personal preference. I personally am gonna stick with the Halogens for now...it's winter time and i want the distance when I need it.
