Default Hyundai WRT finishes Monte Carlo Rally in 8th!!

Hyundai World Rally Team came to the finish earlier today in 8th place. German driver Armin Schwarz scores 1 Driver point and 3 Manufacturer points for 4th place in the Championship after the first rally. Belgian driver "Fast" Freddy Loix had to retire yesturday due to hitting a snowbank after sliding on black ice, this bounced him into a small ditch where he couldn't get out of. The Accent WRC3 had no damage, but was stuck in the ditch.

The biggest news of the rally comes from the new manufacturer Citroen who brought all three of its cars to the finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Beating out the former Silver bullets of Peugeot. Peugeot's new red paint scheme only seems to have slowed their cars down to take over for Mitsubishi.

Hyundai's lack of sponsorship with Casterol has appear to affect more than just the paint scheme of the car, but the testing. The team had a lack of testing before Monte Carlo and felt if it had done testing the result would have been better. Matching the speeds of the Peugeots and Citroens.

That's insane, Citroen taking all three spots.
Well, they have awsome drivers and a very good car.

Its only the first race so we'll see how consistent they are. Hopefully Hyundai can pull out a win one of these days.

Those are the kind of tires I want, with the white letters on the outside of low profile tires. Why can't I find them?

I like the new paint scheme, hopefully they keep learning and making their way toward the top

MrHappy- go buy your self a white paint pen, and you can have white letter low profiles

I really like rally races. It would kick ass if Hyundai started winning a lot more, and made it into rally video games.

And you can find the 1Gen Tibs on the Nindendo 64 and Dreamcast on Need for Speed VRally. Don't buy the N64 version - too grainy. But if you have a Dreamcast it's really a good game
