Default Rally Australia in a hole...

News coming from the head of FIA is saying that the Organizers of Rally Australia are having troubles coming to an agreement. If this continues, the Rally will not be part of the WRC. Rumor is out also that Kenya is trying to get back in, if this happens and Australia doesn't get it back then that might be a possibility. Also Australians back east would want an event on their grounds, this could be a possibility too. Now we American's, Canadian's, and Mexican's need to get our butts in gear and try and get an event in North America!!

Oh and by the way, I saw this earier, its cool news...

Hey Pumbaa, which American event do you think could end up making it as a wrc event? I always figured on the event in Tennessee or the rim of the world.

I believe the biggest chance of a WRC event in the USA would be Cherokee Trails Rally because it is currently run under FIA rules. While Rim of the World was being watched by Subaru WRT. Rim isn't run under FIA rules though so that could be a problem.

I would like to see Rim, but that is because I'm a West Coast Biast... (Honest)

Well honestly I'd rather like to see the Wild West Rally because it is the hardest rally in the states. That would be a great challenge for the WRC teams... Rim is also very tough if not just as tough as Wild West.. (Olympia, WA)

Rim would be cool because it would give wrc the only real desert event of the season. Plus, I could drive to it

Well it would unless they get Safari back again. Also Cyprus and Greece are very desolate. And from what I understand this coming March's Turkey rally is very desertish too.
