more major companies to make aftermarket parts for you?
The following is something given to me from Kevin "The Tuner Guy" Oates. He is a Communications consultant with Hyundai USA and the liaison for H.A.R.D. parts.
Hyundai Tuners-
Scott Oldham at Sport Compact Car wrote the following after one Hyundai owner , Tony Danicke, in Toledo, Ohio submitted his car to "The Street" section:
"Despite repeated challenges to the Hyundai community, we've seen little response in the way of modified vehicles. This Tony guy has some balls atleast."
Don't let this guy be the only guy with balls!
Submit your ride to one or all of the "Reader's Rides" columns below:
Just send:
- Name
- Age
- Address
- Vehicle Year, Make, Model
- Digital resolution (high resolution if possible)
- List of Modifications
Basically, Kevein wants us to bombard these publications with as many photos and profiles as possible. By doing this, you are letting the mags know their readers drive Hyundais and they will publish more. Then, you will start to see more aftermarket companies building more quality parts for more Hyundais.
So, unless you get off your ass and do this, quit b!tching and whining about how nobody makes anything for your car.

Re: Ok guys, you want your car in a Magazine and....
Add Speed, Style and Sound to that list too. Speed, Style and Sound is a custom and performance magazine out of the Midwest. We sponsored the Tiburon show/meet at the Woodwardd Dream Cruise last year. Some of you guys will attest that it was a day to remember. About 25 Tiburons showed up to compete against each other. People traveled as far as Nebraska and Rhode Island to Detroit just to be there. We featured the first place winner on our cover. Hyundai and Speed, Style and Sound are no strangers. Hyundai is also a sponsor of our Triple Crown event at the mid-Ohio race course later this year, August 21-22nd. Visit http://www.s3mag.com and http://www.midohio.com/sportscarcourse/events/tuner.asp for more details.
Till then send pics and a mod list of your cars to fyr@speedstylesound.com and come out to our event to show your support and the chance to be crowned the undisputed "King of the Streets"!

Most consumer cameras won't cut it (72-150 dpi). Find someone with a professional digital camera or pay to have the photographs done (High res = 300 dpi).
Re: Ok guys, you want your car in a Magazine and....
I was watching Hot Rods Magizine Tv on speed channel a few weekends ago and they had a section of the show telling you how to get your ride in a magizine or even theirs. The said to go to alot of the shows that you think they would or the mag you want to be in goes to. Send a write up about the car, it uniqueness, digital camera pictures...perferably shot not in the sun and high res. like what Auto mentioned above, any time slips and pictures at the track or shows( if pictures at the track get someone to take some of it lauching off the line), awards you have recieved, and etc. if you get the point. Hod rod mag is most know for it v8 class, but the same would apply towards our class. And who says that a fast a.ss I4 could not be in there mag...if it is fast, clean and had all the above done like mentioned from their show, it could easily be featured in their mag.
Just my 2 cents worth...I thought the info was nice to know from the show and thought if fit the topic.
I agree with you Auto, too many guys b!tching about how there is no aftermaket parts for us or no representaion in mags, but not enough people get off those A$$'s!!!
Re: Ok guys, you want your car in a Magazine and....
DO you read hotrod? There are NO 4 bangers in that mag. There are pics of some, but I mean they're on like competitions (like the $2003 competition) they do not cover them otherwise, as the pages are usually graced with exceptopnally well done musclecars, and I don't think they're going to put a riced out 140Hp FWD car in their mag... ever. Hell I doublt they'd even put in my V6 car, despite it being chevy powered and RWD, even with a supercharger.
Maybe one day tho...
