$ 1 million dollar fine for Hyundai ???

I just heard on this mornings news report that Hyundai have been fined $1M USD for missing 4 WRC races. Its the highest fine ever imposed in WRC history !
Anybody know why they missed the 4 events ?

Yeah it's pretty messed up but they should have read the rules. Steep fine though.

I have a feeling the WRC will be on thin ice soon, Ford says they may pull out of competition and they had to scrape to get 5 manufacturers to compete in the 2005 season. but who knows, the WRC magazine seemed optimistic.
