Default How Are You Preparing Your Car For Winter?

Well, the title says most of it. What things are you doing to prepare your Hyundai's for winter? So far I have done an oil change, flush the radiator, and purchased a nice set of floor mats. I am also investing in a nice car cover for the nights it snows. Also, I have heard from mutliple mechanics I know to run a lower octane gas if you run mid or super, so I will be dropping to mid. I don't exactly know why but I think it has something to do with the combustion heat from higher octanes, could be wrong, please tell the facts if you know.

Replacing the struts, brake shoes, pads/rotors. Maybe some new wiper blades.

I did my winter oil change a few weeks ago and I'll be putting the winter tires on soon. I might get the underside oil sprayed. Otherwise, there's not much to prepare... the car is about as winter beater as it gets at this point: runs great but looks like hell.

I'll be throwing my stock steelies back on for the winter and really cleaning the aftermarket wheel. Flush everything and just pray I can hold off on the tune up until spring.
