Default Question about buying a car...

Not sure if this is the correct forum - but I need some honest opinions - NOT FLAMES.

I am getting about 15k cash out of my home refi and want a newer car.
I first thought of a new v6 tibby - but they seem to start around 16k for something with less than 25kmiles and then I have to pay tax , etc.

I am seriously considering an SVT Focus. I can get one for around 14k plus tax with under 20k miles on it. 6 speed, 170hp 2.0l, leather, cd changer, power everything, moon roof, factory 10" sub , upgraded suspension, 17" rims, etc etc etc.

Seems like a great deal for a little rocket. I've looked into the "mod" scene and you can sport a supercharger kit from eaton for under 3k. That nets up 200whp. Of course there's plenty of na stuff out there as well.

What are your opinions on this car ?

The SVT is a sweet car...mostly cause it is barely a Ford hehe. I would vote for the Tiburon just cause down the road specialty cars can be hard to maintain due to the market being so slim on available parts. And i like the styling and ride of the tibby a lot more.

I'd vote for the tibby , too!
But, with taxes, etc. I would be 2k short on funds.
