97000 miles..but the beta motor has 25K miles on it when it was swapped.

still runs like a charm..sounds like a generic 4-cylinder but isn't thrashy when revved like a kia motor..it's a smooth revver..

My '97 elantra wagon had 305,000 KM on it, which is about 190,000 miles when it got towed away. My dad bought it in '99 with 60,000km (around 37,000 miles). It would have kept going too except I crunched the front end on it and wasn't worth fixing. Great car though, it was our first Hyundai and we havn't bought anything else since!

I know this is an older post but I thought I would throw mine in as well! I bought my 97 Tib in June of 2004 it had about 114,000m on it when I just got the new engine (even though it didnt need it) this past month I was a little over 216,000m!! It was still going and I probably could've gone another 40,000m but to me it was a matter of feeling safer driving over to eastern washington to see my parents

I have a Hyundai accent GS with 95,000 miles on it still on the original auto tranny, and 1.6 motor.
Runs perfect tho I am scared if I turbo it something bad might happen.
wish I could Beta swap it!

my 97 accent delivered newspapers for probably %60 of its life.
it has had no major mechanical repairs to it, although it needs some.
it has 153,000mi on it, and is still purrin.
although, the cheak engine light has been on for over 3 years now.
