My friend in town had a older v-6 sonata for got what year it was early 90's or so and it had 200,000 miles on it before it rolled over while racing on a dirt road.

Let's see, I got my 95 Elantra (build date 11/94) in Feb 97 with 32000 miles. Since then, 8 years now, I'm up to 98000. Around 88000, the tranny was rebuilt, then a couple thousand later I had to replace the engine. Bought a new one....before I knew about swapping. D'oh!

Bought the Tib Oct 1999...now have 118K on it. Only brought it to the shop once under warranty in 100,000 miles. And that was just a coilpack. 8D

Last car was a '92 Sonata V6, bought with like 170K and sold with 212K, still ran strong.

purchase date (feb 2002) = 114,700 km / 71688 miles

currently = 175,000 km / 109,375 miles

three year total = 61,000 km / 38,125 miles

average per year = 20,333 km / 12,708 miles

no work done in two years until some mild tranny work 2 weeks ago, and a fan belt last week. 8D

blah. My dad handed me down an excel with 375,000 Km. It made it another 2,000 under my care!

His old 1.4L pony did 350,000 on bare maintenance and an original clutch

One of my stellars had 275,000 on it, yeah but it needed work! It had no working rear brakes! That thing was fun to do brakestands with!!

I have one engine that's been in 2 pony's when I got it (in a pony I bought) and I pulled it and put it in the project V6 one. It had on it more than 300,000km when I got it, and I estimate between the two cars another 25,000 i put on. It's finally dead (5 years of use), man cuz i KILLED that motor whenever possible, redlining it, not changing the oil, just messin' with it when I was younger... I still can't believe it took so long to quit! I know the timing chain skipped over the sprocket a few teeth due to a failed tensionner, but im not gonna fix that lol that motor's had it! A stretched out timing chain slapping against a poorly oiled tensionner at 7,500 RPM (when the redline was just below 6,000) will definitely introduce some slack sooner or later! :dead:

It's all good, the Blue pony's motor only has 95,000 Km on it. Not even 100,000. Driven carefully too...

Hehe you don't even wanna know how many total miles i've put on all my cars... :ermm:

When I posted this I forgot to mention my 2000 Accent 5 speed I bought two weeks ago with 168,000 miles. The original owner bought it new 4 year 2 months ago. This averages 40000 miles per year. But I only paid 1000 bucks for it and nothings wrong with it so I'm guessing it'll last quite a while longer.
