My old 91 Excel had 155,000 miles when the tranny started slippin. Put in a newer motor and tranny with 86,000 miles and the tranny lasted about 500 miles now it's shot. My Accent had 55,000 miles on the alpha motor and theres about 18,000 miles on the beta motor when I bought it and ive put 3,000 miles on it since the swap. So just over 58,000 now on my Accent.

After looking I got the most miles for a 2000, or most per year at 42,000 per year/170,000 miles. Others have higher miles on older cars. How many miles do you think it would have held up to with the original owner putting on 42k a year on it?

SOLD 2000 Accent, 5 speed, 175k.......very slow
SOLD95 Z28, ALL Bolt-ons.........very depressing
190,000km on my 97 tiburon. I'm hoping to get 250k out of her, which translates to 1 and 1/2 years of driving at 40k a year.
Anyone know what the projected life of a beta engine is? I know a lot depends on maintenence and how the car was driven, but I haven't put too many hard miles on my car.

2000 Tiburon with 72,000 miles on it. About 60,000 miles are pizza delivery miles. I would go through a set of tires every 12 to 15 months! But the car is holding up well.
lmao ok I was feeling a bit left out here seeing how I only have a 2k3 Elantra GT with 23k miles. My first car that I had was passed to me by my dad. It wasnt a hyundai, but a 1981 VW Rabbit Convertible Karman edition. That car only had clutch and exhaust work replaced, but had over 495k on it, before I replaced the Head with a 16V Scrocco head for more power. Lol it was my first Brautworst burner (ricer, just german car). About 4k after the head swap, I totaled it cuz damn women cant drive in Ohio. After the wreck it was still driviable until it was cleared of salvage title, and it rained and caught fire!!! the engine was still good though!
