Default Re: Who got the most miles on their Hyundai?

I got my '05 Accent GL with 1,200 miles on it almost exacty a year ago...just over 12,000 miles on it now. I had my cluster replaced under warranty around 8,000 miles when I accidentally broke the tachometer needle motor thing trying to make a custom cluster...woops...:

Gartner Buick/Hyundai/Saab. My family has bought our past 4 cars there...we love them. But yeah, the tachometer needle was just resting against the peg and would flicker and jump around once in a while. I just told them it stopped working...lol. :devious:

That's where I bought my car. I had my car there for warranty work and they messed it up, they were supposed to change the left rear strut and they changed the right rear strut. I never brought it back, too busy. That was 4 years ago...heh.

Default Hyundai Miles and Miles and Miles

1995 Sonata, v-6 Auto, 7 years and 168k and still counting
2000 Sonata, 2.5L V6 Auto, 5 years and 144k and still counting (recently traded)
2006 Elantra, 2.0 5spd, 1st year 28k
2006 Sonata, 3.3L V6, 1st year 24k

The cost per mile of operation on my first two Son's was INCREDIBLE. So far, things seem to be shaping up the same.
Number one; Brakes, Tires and a power antenna...THAT WAS IT!
Number Two: Brakes, Tires, Timing belt at 70k...Nothing else
Number Three: Not one thing other than mods. No issues whatsoever.
Number four: Same thing, bone stock, no issues at all.

either I have been very, very luck or Hyundai really does build some quality, dependable autos. They get my referral anytime anyone asks.

73,500 in 52 months. All but about 4000 of that is in a 25 mile radius.

About 55 of that 69k is just driving to work and back.
