Messing around? I HAVE NO GARAGE TO DO IT IN! It will NOT GO IN until I HAVE A PLACE! Because if I put it in now, the frame will crack. This is something that will take me a while to do...

Thank you for confirming that you know nothing about this subject and pushing female car enthusiasts slightly further back down the stripper pole.

I have a 95 S-10 Blazer. Stock horsepower: 191 Stock Torque: 252 New cam and headers and you're at 240hp and 290 lb/ft torque. This thing is fast too. I can't hardly imagine what it would do in a sub 2500 pound car.

i am just pointing out that if you are going to bother going to the effort of swapping in a GM engine into a pony you might as well go with a V8, there is a lot more potential.

Does the factor of weight on the front end make any sense to you? WHY would I want 500 HP in a pony? so the car can be all nose heavy when I try to make a turn?

Also, I fully don't feel like increasing the engine bay's size a few feet to accomodate a V8 when a V6 will do just fine.

Why not put a BBC, (505 CI) or a V12?

^^Precisely. And 987 you said 4.3's were garbage and underpowered, which is a lot more than saying "A SBC would have more potential, why not go with that?". The HO 4.3 Vortec has more power than a SO 305 V-8 anyways stock. You can easily get 400hp out of a 4.3l V-6. Naturally aspirated. Yes, a 350 can put down well over 1000hp if you have the money, but there are several people running over 600hp through their super/turbocharged 4.3's all day every day. a 4.3 is simply a Chevy 350 missing two cylinders anyways after all.

You did respond in a cordial manner however and therefore I retract my stripper pole comment and simply suggest that you think about what you say a little more before you say it because if you had worded it like your second comment nobody would have taken it as anything except for useful input, and at most it would have started a friendly debate over the pros/cons of each motor.
