Default about DBW,

I'm getting a new car soon..it's just a matter of time,

right now i'm doing research on The XD's,

It's probably the lightest Factory Hyundai car with a beta and a manual compared to the GK,
a base model XD with a manual that is,

What I Don't want is The Annoying Drive By Wire on the elantra..I know that 2001 XD's don't have DBW But I need to know if the 2002's have it or not,

2003,4,5 i'm sure have drive by wire..Curse the stupid useless Gizmo that almost killed me,

That "gizmo" will be the TPS (Throtle Position Sensor)

Why wouldn't you want drive by wire?
I mean afterall, it is superior to a cable drawn TB.

Default Re: about DBW,

New Sonatas have DBW and it is not even noticeable, unlike on the old XG's, Hyundai has fixed any issues in response time in the DBW system. i didn't even believe there was no throttle cable. i had to look.

Default Re: about DBW,

a reason i don't like drive by wire is that it can have some glitche's in the most unexpected time,

you have to wait about a less than a half second for the TPS Or whatever to read that i've just pressed the pedal and then open the throttle,

Lousy response time,
