Ok here's the deal... I didn't want to ever see this because I thought WE (Hyundai owners) were different. But I was proved wrong. It sadens me to say that I have seen one of worst rice-rockets in my town, and it happens to be an Accent !!! Ok why was it ricey?? The one wiper thing, yellow sticker on winsheild saying Powered by Hyundai (car was white). The huge ass wing, the 4" exhaust tip on a stock muff. and the worst (what could be worst you say???) a neuspeed plate sign! Neuspeed, that's right.
I think I would have shot the guy right there!!
Man I was so f'in pissed... my girl had to calm me down . Here I am trying to gain some respect for us, and rice boy over there kills it all!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay..well..now for the other side of the argument.
Alot of peeps that own Hyundai's still don't know that there's an aftermarket field for them. So, they basically do what they can to try and make their rides look as unique as they possibly can. Was it rice? Yeah..chances are there was more rice on that car than in most in Asian Food Markets. So what do you do when you see something like that? You go over, give them a Team SR, Shark Racing, Hyundai Performance, FxTreme, etc.. flyer. Tell them that there's alot that they can do to their car so it isn't too ricey, and have them join one of these boards so thet can get the correct info on what's available for them.
By not saying anything to people about these boards, and leaving them to drive around with a car that doesn't give Hyundai owners much respect, makes you just as bad as how their car looks. If you see him again in the near future, be sure to tell him about the communities out there, and that we're here to help them build their rides into a respectable vehicle.

Yeah Knocker...I am in total 100% agreement with you. I absolutely hate it when i see a riced out car like that. They look stupid and make us look bad because we try harder to keep our cars looking good. 2klo&sho proves a very valid point as well...a point which I never thought of! Well said!
Lets break it down and see what exactly characterizes a riceboy...
-4" tip (aka "coffee can" exhaust system)
-Do it yourself tint job (with bubbles and grease handprints underneath and cracks/folds in the plastic
-Hubcaps (especially shiny chrome ones with the plastic fake drilled rotors)
-Ugly stickers and windshield stickers (I hate stickers, except sponser ones)
-Body kits that dont match the color of the car with exposed screws and bolts
-"Towel rack" style spoilers
-Chinese symbols all over the car
-Spray painted dash (with bubbles and runs..professionally done looks good)
-Lowered, yet no wheel alignment, it makes the cars wheels tilt inward
Oh, and you cannot forget my FAVORITE. The all time TYPE R sticker upgrade....Yup, that Type R sticker covering up the CIVIC DX or the ACURA GS....That makes the car so much faster. Check out riceboypage.com...There is more to it then just this. A lot of this is from what I have seen, yet some of what I said is on this page!
Acid burn...Seriously man, from one hyundai owner to another...Send the banner back. That is one of the things that classifys a rice boy. I saw a picture of your Elantra. It looks excellent. You did a nice job. Don't ruin it man and make it look ricey by adding that banner. If anything, I'd get a spoiler. Keep it clean, thats my motto. Don't add that extra crap. hehe. You do what you want. I think you did a nice job on your car and by adding that banner will reck that image. IMO, of course.

thier was an accent out here in GA i haven't seen him in a long time he had painted hand painted his hubcap sidemirrors,and door handles yellow on his black accent when i had seen i was like damn what the hell was he thinking.
