Default Hyundai and Ethanol (E85)

Does Hyundai offer any vehicles that run on Ethanol (E85)?

ethanol.. fuel dethrived from abundant natural source: Corn

ethanol may be from a renewable source but MPG Figures are Dissappointing,
itself can't be usd as fuel, Small % of gasoline still must be mixed to make it combustable.

I used it in my Pony. The carb took to it very well, I'm just worried that the valves will burn duue to insuficient lubrication and thermal properties of Ethanol.

Then again, I ran my car on Methyl Hydrate to pass the emissions test... on an engine with over 350,000 Km's!

The Hyundai fuel injection system isn't meant for ethanol. ethanol will make the whole injection system corrode.

If anybody knows a site we can buy an ethanol compatible performance fuel injection system I'm willing to hear it.

I need one for my 01 Accent

going turbo
working for Hyundai is the best choice I ever made.

Not possible. The design of the injectors and hoses are specific to the car and Hyundai has no intention of making a dual fuel vehicle. They are going with hydrogen power though, which is something that is not very commonly used in cars.

You can use a CNG or propane conversion with stock injectors.

thx man that helps to know that.
I don't think CNG and propane has good mileage/performance.
o well I will wait till they come out with full conversion kits or just get another car.

Not so I use an ethanol/fuel mixture for racing and i ran out of gas on the way back from the racetrack one night and dumped about 4 or 5 gallons of pure ethanol into my Accent .......it even felt better.
My car is carbureted though so i am sure that wouldn't work with a fuel injected model.

that 85% mix has alot to do with cold starts, its still combustable without gasoline.
