Default Hope this helps

I am Also an owner of a 1997 tiburon fx with similar uprades and as much as i hate to admit defeat my tiburon with nearly the same mods runs a 16.1 (16 on a warm day). I do believe a camaro of that year would run about a 15.5-15.7. So the possibilitys of a tiburon of that nature beating a camaro are slim to none.

Hope this is of some help,
Tina

Id say go for it. You have the power to wieght ratio, and the gearratio.

Odds are the Camo is a autotragic, and if your a stick. You got em.

Heck, i can turn a 15.7 in the J2, and im heavier. Id say go for it. I ran a 80's Camo, but it had the 2.8 and a stick. Still one.

you not heavier, your like 10pds lighter.. depending on year model. Really no diffrence from elantra to tib in those years.

Ive seen those tibs do 15.7 with the same mods. Not to mention a 16.1 vs a 15.7, the reaction time alone can make that a dead even race in the end. Id say run him and see. Ive beaten 5spd v6s and been beaten by modified automatics. Good luck.

I've actually beaten a V6 Camaro with my 97 FX too with the same mods. That's the basic mods any N/A car should have anyways, except I had BF G-Sport KDNA *whatever it is* tires, which kinda helped.

You can do it, just depends on the other guy. If he's a good driver, he might beat you, but if he's bad then it's all cookies for you.
