Ill burn a quart of oil between each oilchange. Its all that harsh driving.

I blew up a tranny, and a clutch. Everything that i didnt touch works great... haha. The engine is still running, and the car still does 16.2 in the 1/4 mile with toasted rings and valve quides.

Example; you may want to eliminate all sporting drivers or exceeding a certain level of modification. Or select only cars with owners that adhere to the prescribed service cycles. Inversely, you can target vehicles that do not use the prescribed oil viscosity because of owner discretion etc. etc. etc.
I noticed the same thing about this particular forum.

I'm still developing a way to handle mods. I don't like to exclude anyone. But what I do plan to do is ask people if their mods exceed a certain level, and then partially exclude those cars from the analysis.

The levels I have in mind:

Engine: Mods beyond intake and exhaust that boost power by more than 15 percent.

Suspension: lowered more than an inch or wheels more than an inch larger than the largest stock size.

If anyone has further suggestions, I'm certainly open to them.

if i may, i believe the supplier of the auto manufacter's play's an important part in vehicles reliability.

if i want to build a house, i need materials

same for car manufacter's..they get their materials and the equipment you use in your car from suppliers and their catalogs..

here are some examples.

Kefico
Siemens
TRW
Denso
Visteon
Delphi
Fujikoki

There's definitely some truth to this.

But people working for suppliers also tell me that different manufacturers have different standards, so they don't all get the same quality parts.

Still looking for more Hyundai owners to participate in the research.
