Default Warranty

What all can I do the my car without voiding the warranty?

If I change the oil myself how to I prove that it was changed if I was to take the car in for warranty work or sell it in 4 or 5 years?

Nothing!!! Everthing you put on the car that is not an authorized Hyundai part CAN void some part of the warranty.

ok, if it is just that part, I was worried if I put a cai and exhaust on that my engine warranty would be voided, along with all the other warranties

No oil changes are considered maintance, and will not void your warrenty. Now if you change your oil and forget to fill it back up, or leave the filter off then that will not be covered under warrenty.

If you put on an exhuast, then the exhuast is not under warrenty anymore. A CAI lets say causes your MAFS to malfunction, then it is not under warrenty. But if you have a CAI and a piston get thrown, they are not related and that will be covered under warrenty. But if you throw a piston with just a CAI you have some other problems.

Hehe . I don't think they'd associate those two.

Rob,
no way say f*** the warrenty, if it wasn't for that warrenty my baby would have about 1,000 miles on it and be sitting in my driveway.

let's start the list of items I have replaced under warrenty

1. Tranny silenoids(recall)
2. 3 door actuators
3. 1 alarm box(which died) soon to be 2 boxes
4. 2 door wire harnesses
5. 1 main wire harness
6. Rims(corrotion)
7. Front brake rotors and calipers, and pads
8. 3 brake proportioning valves
9. rear brake rotor and caliper
10. tranny bolt snapped in-half, drilled and replaced
11. new Transmission.

that's all I can think of right now, but heh I can say this, my car is one of the best looking ones out there. Just if I knew how to not always want to drive fast would help.

Also for the rest of you, there is a statement in the warrenty that says and excesive amount of work will eventually void your warrenty. What do you guys think, am I close to the limit yet????

No they have to prove that the turbo caused the piston(which can't haddle to much boost)to eject like a rocket out threw your head and causing you to blow your motor.
