Hyundai Auto Canada Launches New Performance Parts Line

I just got home from the Dunnville Autodrome where I had the opportunity to see and drive a few of Hyundai Auto Canada's project cars. It is very nice to see that Hyundai is getting into the factory performance scene. We were well looked after and it was a pleasure to meet those behind this exciting new venture.

Here is a snipet from the media press release we were given.


"Hyundai Auto Canada announced today the launch of its brand new Performance Parts line – an exciting collection of parts and accessories for performance enthusiasts to customize their Hyundai. The new line offers drivers over 20 different new products to enhance their vehicles and includes one of the largest selections of accessory alloy wheels in Canada.


“This new line is all about attitude and versatility – it really offers enthusiasts the ability to not only punch up the look of their ride, but also the performance,” said Hyundai Auto Canada’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, John Vernile. “Whether it’s the throaty roar of sport exhausts or the bold carbon fibre look of a custom interior trim kit, Hyundai owners now have the freedom to make their vehicles truly unique.”


The new line of products features a wide range of parts and accessories including: Catback exhaust, B&M Short Throw Shifter, AEM Performance Air Intake and EIBACH lowering springs. Hyundai also has several new products that are currently being tested and evaluated for launch this fall.


Hyundai has developed the line over the past two years and has relied heavily on the feedback provided in focus groups with enthusiasts. “This new division represents a real evolution of the Hyundai brand,” said Vernile. “We now have strong, quality, award-winning vehicles and we’re excited to give drivers the ability to personalize them. Every Hyundai Performance Part is created with the same dedication to quality and value that is at the core of the entire line-up. That means that consumers can be assured that they are getting superior parts for their vehicle.”


To garner awareness among tuners, Hyundai has entered a partnership with rally car driver Antoine L’Estage who recently won the 2006 Canadian Rally Championship and is currently leading the 2007 championship. L’Estage
brought home the Drivers' title at the wheel of an AWD Hyundai Tiburon and
in doing so, he earned the Manufacturers' title for Hyundai Canada. “Drivers are going to love the way these new performance parts change the look and feel of their everyday experience on the road. For the first time Hyundai enthusiasts can bring a piece of the rally circuit home.”

Prop's to hyundai canada doing something we relished so much all these years,

I hope this will trigger hyundai motor of america to do the same..

I'm just hoping they're not explosivly expensive,

The MC accent's AEM CAI and strut brace price was outrageous..
i wonder why they set it so high..probably to capitalize and monopolize on such a market I guess.


keep the mod's price's reasonably and they'll sell quicker than the shirt's and keychains in the display gathering dust.

probably for the modern current line-up

they probabably wouldn't make stuff for the old skool hyundai's lineup cause it doesn't match their "quality regulations"

sorry but now, buick& lexus ownz hyundai in term's of quality
