Details of the Sydney Cruise.
Original Post from Bretton (Hyper Forums)
Date :
Saturday 11th November 2006
Time :
from 1 pm til around 4 pm
Where :
BBQ Area just near the Tea House, Bicentennial Park, Homebush Bay (UBD Map Ref 233 A3). Entry is off Australia Avenue. The BBQ area is adjacent the Tea House and Kiosk is around 200 m in from the front gate, so you (hopefulyl) can't miss it.
What to Bring:
Well, as the BBQs are free, all you need to bring is what you want to eat.
Rather than have one person bring sausages, and another bring bread, etc just bring what you feel like. If we rely on one person to bring the salad, and they dont turn up, then we will all miss out.
If you forget anything, there is a kiosk near by.
Also if a few people maybe bring BBQ tongs, sauce, napkins, etc we should have enough to go round.
What to do after:
Well, it really depends on the weather and how many people come along. We can sort it out on the day, but a few ideas are a cruise to Krispy Kremes at Penrith along the M4, go Putt Putt golf at Ryde, Sharky's Golf Driving Range at Wetherill Park. etc
If it is raining....
Well, judge on the day. The BBQs are under cover, so if the rain isnt too heavy, we can still do the BBQ. If the rain is too heavy, then may be better to postpone to the next weekend .
Warnings:
The park has a speed limit of 20 km/h, and has a fair few rangers. They dont like speeding, or loud stereos. So just use common sense when you are there.
Any Interest??
