Default Turbo 93 Lantra, Any 1 got 1??

I would like to know if any one here in Australia has done the 4g63 swap??
Or alternativly if any one has just gone to a mechanic and turbocharged from scratch???

I am thinking of going to the wreckers and getting a turbo motor from a Galant any ideas there?

Righto then. Looks like I am going to be the first person in Australia with a turbo charged Lantra.

I am going to aim for about 11 sec passes. Or maby I could just NOS it up, that should get things going.

Fastest Lantra in OZ, yer that sounds like me.

Default Turbo Lantra

Hi Harryo, I've got a 91 1.6 Lantra with with mild mods (+ lots of LEDs and a sub). I have'nt yet setup my air intake, - still stock. My gut feeling is that once I've setup my engine properly I still won't get much torque out of the
G4CR engine. I have been considering to introduce forced induction to my car. Whether to swap to a 4G63, or turbo my G4CR is another concern. Would'nt I need to update the internals as well?
Not sure if it's worth it though, you're the only one I've come accross with a turbo J1. Please do let on, and give us an email.

Thanks

I could allways use a little more education on how to get the most out of a lantra. I have to say I realy like my little car, just feel like I have been let down buy the mods I have done and the lack of HP increase has come about. I have a long and sad story but once you get past that I am all ears. I have been looking into this for some time and have seen some people on this forum, that appear to have the same car as me, but yet run faster times and better dyno results.

I t would be good to converse with an aussie about the aussie lantra. I will look forward to your reply lantraboy1978.
