Default HI- new member question

Hi all...
i'm from Perth
i'm currently driving a Mitsu Lancer GL (carby version)
i am looking at upgrading (???) to an Excel, preferably the twin cam version...

some questions though..
1- When did the twin cam version start (ie waht year should i look at)
2- Anything to look for when i'm hunting for one
3- any particular problems with these cars with cold starts (my current car needs to warm up for about 3-5 minutes before it can drive it)
and how much would i be lloking at for a reasonable condition X3?

thanks in advance for any assistance

go to Hyper Auto Club • Index page
that'd be better for ya

to answer your questions - look for a 98+ model, make sure they dont have high kays, looks for signs of respray/overspray, you can tell if they've been thrashed by general appearance and how it runs, check to make sure it goes into gear nicely and can handle a high rev downshift smoothly if its a manual
