Default 97 Excel Starter motor won't start HELP

We disconnected everything and replaced the clutch plate put everything back together now we have ignition, power to the starter motor but it won't turn over? Why? please help.

Default starter not working

take it out and try to bench start the starter motor, if it don't work replace it.

X3 hyundai excel gx
stock 1.5 with pod filter
2.5 inch sports exhaust running a hollow cat shell
alloy rims and cheapo tyres.
soon to be gifted.
