cooling hose quandry

Hi, bought a 1998 excel twin cam as a wreck for my son which the owner had been fiddling with. There engine had been disassembled then reassembled but I have my doubts about how well.

one question i have is were the radiator hoses go - a new thermostat was installed, the top radiator hose goes to the top outlet on the thermostat , does the lower radiator hose go on the left or the right side outlet of the lower thermostat housing outlets.

If any of you could look at your car and answer that it would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,
From memory the lower radiator hose goes to the left side or passenger side pipe. The other pipe should have a 90degree rubber bend to a metal pipe that goes behind exhaust manifold to the back of the water pump. I haven't had my head under the bonnet of one lately to be sure so I'm going by memory.
